For young people looking to get serious about a career in Musical Theatre, our Vocational Musical Theatre Intensive Programme is the place to be – preparing students to seek full-time vocational Musical Theatre training.

Subjects covered include:

  • Acting with Script
  • Acting through Song
  • Improvisation
  • Ensemble Singing
  • Acting for Camera
  • Jazz
  • Dance Technique
  • Body Conditioning
  • High-profile performance opportunities
  • Individual coaching sessions
  • LAMDA and Trinity College London syllabus and exam prep, incl. ATCL Musical Theatre Diploma

Students gain experience in audition technique and building a repertoire book, preparing them for auditions for further education in performing arts institutions. After receiving their audition dates for their chosen establishments, students will focus on preparing during their one-to-one coaching sessions.

Vocational Musical Theatre students attend at least nine hours per week and are automatically involved in our Summer and Christmas Productions each year.

A Trinity qualification can lead to a place at university.

Trinity College London’s qualifications are specifically designed to help students progress in the arts. Trinity College London diplomas are a student’s first step toward the professional performing arts industry, taking candidates to the next level beyond graded examinations. The ATCL Musical Theatre Diploma is equivalent standard to the first year of an undergraduate degree course.

With Trinity College London exams and the ATCL Diploma programme at iNTER, our aims are for our senior students to graduate from us with their ATCL Diploma, heightening their probabilities of achieving a place at their chosen top college or university.

  • Vocational Musical Theatre: S3 to S6+
    9 hours per week

Entry Requirements

Every potential student must complete an audition. Like all Inter Programmes, previous experience is unnecessary; however, having a solid understanding of musical theatre techniques for vocational programmes is beneficial. Regular attendance and a willingness to work hard are essential, alongside commitment and dedication. Please see Auditions for information on entry points for our VMT Programme.

All Inter Programmes are composite, and classes are grouped by age/ability. After enrolment, fees for all Inter Programmes can be made annually in advance or monthly by direct debit.
